Frequently Asked Questions

  • The best time to book is during your second trimester to guarantee availability. We’ll pencil in your due date, then once baby arrives, you’ll reach out, and we’ll lock in your official session date with his/her first two weeks.

  • Newborn sessions are typically done within the first 2-3 weeks after birth, when babies are sleepiest and curl up naturally. That said, I’ve photographed older newborns too, so if you’re a little past that window, still reach out.

  • Sessions take place in my studio in Highland, MI. Designed with a clean, cozy, and neutral style that keeps the focus on your baby and your connection as a family.

  • I’ll guide you through this! I recommend soft, neutral tones and simple pieces that photograph beautifully and won’t distract from your baby. You don’t need to overthink it. I’ll help you plan everything.

  • Sessions are baby-led and typically last 1.5 to 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks, so everything feels relaxed, not rushed.

  • I keep things simple and timeless, so I provide a curated selection of wraps, blankets, and minimal props. You’re welcome to bring something meaningful, but it’s absolutely not required.
